Nobody was in the right. Lousy end to nice night.

Mayweather: hugged, then immediatley took his killshot, that's a lame way to win a fight. All the training for that?!? Are we going to see that KO on his highlight reel? No, no we are not because cheapshoting a guy with his hands down looking away does not emphasize how good this guy (Mayweather) is.

Cortez: had his head up his ass after correctly taking a point away, halfheartedley saying "let's go". He didn't seperate them enough and emphasize "Okay, we're doing this, we are fighting now!". Fair but not firm, as someone said.

Ortiz: Headbutt was totally blatent and wrong, no excuse for blatent fouls even if they don't end up doing much damage. And yes, you must protect yourself at all times, but does that totally make Ortiz the wrong one here? No. He went for the hug, Mayweather accepted, Ortiz started to look away which you should never do in Martial arts competition, but then Floyd immediatley cold ****ed him. That's not cool. Naive on the part of Ortiz, cheap on the part of Floyd.

Three good fights with gutsy, skilled fighters and three rounds that where interesting and not conclusive main event. Disapointing =(

Bottom line: Nobody looks good here. Follow these simple rules: Pay attention always, be as clear as humanly possible when officating anything, and don't hug like it's cool, then go in for the kill before said hug is really over.

Isnt Joe cortez supposed to send Froyd to the neutral corner and make his ass stay there until he tells the officials that its TIME IN? What was Floyd doing 3 feet away from Ortiz'es corner? With Cortezes back to them.

Low life scum all of them

I have always had a ton of respect for Floyd, last night I lost some of it. In his previous 41 fights, he's won them with his amazing technique and athletacism, not by playing the (pourly enforced) rules and giving a false sense of security with a friendly gesture, then killshot when dude's not looking. He's always given people their money's worth imo but not last night. People don't pay for that BS.

"I thought the rule was 'protect yourself at all times' last time I checked. I feel bad for Victor and I'm sure he trained hard for the fight. He took the fight to that point. Mayweather was acting like any grown man, he was pissed off. That was three intentional headbutts I counted. You can't take the fight to the streets and then says 'oh, I want to hug you now because you're mad.' A grown man is not going to take that into consideration. He's going to say 'you headbutted me, f**k you, I don't want to be friends, You can't take it one way and then go the other. It was a little frustrating to see Victor act that way because if you're going to take it there, you better keep it there. You take it to a dirty place and turn it into a street fight, you better keep it there
