    Boxing is DEAD

Whether you like it or not. Mayweather sticking around has done more harm than good, WAY MORE harm than good. I watched the fight and people around me, after they saw that crap they did said:"this is why i'm more into MMA nowadays..." Problem is that people around us agreed with him and you can say this is a good % of the mentality of people around. Only reason why the vast majority of fans watch may's fights is because they can't wait to see him get know tha **** out, not because they watch the sport individually. So hey, enjoy it while it lasts but BOXING IS DEAD(mostly).

tonight sure as **** didn't help...... thats can't be denied..........

i've been saying for years boxing is better without mayweather in it...

look at the stellar fights that happened when he was gone, then look at the stagnation when he's around, then crap like this on some level....... no bueno for boxing.... i agree...... he's a fleece..

Boxing is far from being dead. People are just mad because Floyd won ....again.. If Ortiz would have won , people would be partying and ****.

I'm not sure about that. You have guys adopting the Floyd style of avoiding opponents, namely, Juanmama Lopez and Timothy Bradley.

In the discussions I've had with real boxing fans tonight, many are severely upset with the direction the sport is heading.

there is no such thing as bad publicity, more people will be talking about boxing over the next week then they have in the last ten years.
