Come on, you need to see that sig pic of the guy around here which compares a gorilla to Floyd -- same pose with the open mouth. They truly look the same and I thought it was funny. But that doesn't mean it's racist where all blacks apply. Surely other people of other races look similar and never all of them. You belittle a race when you identify racism, trying to defend it of offend it. When enough people buy into this illusion, it just causes hate all around. Stay neutral.

What he said was a racial slur either way you cut it. I didn't see the picture and I wouldn't want to see the picture. I don't find images like that funny. Pictures like that were the norm when slavery ended and racism was rampant.

But Despite the cheap headbutt that Ortiz commited I think the main culprits in this abomination were equal parts Ortiz's begging for forgiveness and overall lack of awareness against Floyd and Joe Cortez's overall incompetence.

Ortiz should have never begged for any sort of forgiveness in doing that he enabled this memorable yet controversial ending.Had Ortiz kept his eye on the prize he could have made it a compelling fight he still would have lost but he would have kept Floyd on his toes.However, Cortez should have instructed both fighter to go back to their corners instructed the time keepers and then allowed both men to continue he may have said FIGHT but you can clearly tell that Cortez's mental mistake in moitioning to the time keepers confused Ortiz and coupled with an angry but smart Mayweather that took advantage of all the confusion along with a ill timed Ortiz hug you get a giant turd on an ending.

Tonight was a black eye for the sport

It could have been perfect.The rabid underdog against the technical master but instead we got an event that had no star power just controversy and in a sport that is in desperate need of both good publicity and even fights this PPV did not deliver, nor was it's high price tag justfied I believe the only thing that is certain is this: Boxing delivers unparalleled drama and it has been delivering the goods for more than a century but slowly I feel that promoters and perhaps even fighter themselves are forgetting one important element and that is "Honor" and there was none of that tonight.
