both fighters (every fighter) have fought leftovers which is what makes me laugh when Floyd tries to bash Pacquiao for doing so and ppl actually defending Floyd for ther comments. Floyd beat a 9 loss and 6 draw Baldomir.....isnt that enough to prove he beats leftovers too? He gets so much praise for beating a Gatti All he did with Gatti was pick up everyones leftovers and finish him off ....Kinda the same way Pacquiao did with Hatton...He finished him off.

      dumb boxing newbs.

everyone 99% of the time is gonna be someone's "leftovers" unless you're fighting only young prospects.

when fighters are fighting in or around the same division , they'll end up fighting the same opponents.

that's what happens in boxing , ****** newbs.
I agree tell the thread starter that..he's spasing out

        You?

        lol.

A resume is an entire body of work.

But you wouldn't know anything about that.

A very well taught response that was taken out from an ass. So, do try again and I might response the way you’ll like it better.

            Look Rodney,

If we're going to count Corrales as weight-drained, and Hatton had to "move up" (TWO CASES where fighters were out of their weight class), then we might as well point the finger at Pacquiao for fighting Cotto at 145 and Margarito at 150 for a 154 strap (and 150 is closer to 147 than 154).

At the end of the day, we're grasping at straws, because the fact is Mayweather and Pacquiao are leagues above the rest as of THIS moment.

To nitpick otherwise is just tedious. Give both guys their props.

I thought it was a good metaphor but seen as you are so prosaic, I need not bother.

Hatton held the wba welterweight belt at 147 because he was given a gift. I was pulling for Hatton in his first fight at 147 and was convinced he had lost but the judges saw it differently.

From what I have seen from the interviews, Floyd never says Pacquiao fights just anyone's leftovers. It seems implied that Floyd means Pacquiao is fighting Floyd's leftovers.

Regardless of what their condition was,

Floyd fought Oscar De La Hoya first
                  Floyd fought Ricky Hatton first
                  Floyd fought Shane Mosley first

Though Manny did fight Juan Manuel Marquez first.

This is the extent of my knowledge though, the list could be unfinished as I haven't watched any of Manny's early career fights so please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Aaawh that pic is nasty, he got his nose in his mouth. I know Floyd went str8 to the bathroom and scrub his lips after that lol

Larry you waist a lot of time arguing with some of the most antagonizing posters. You could do a lot more with your time. You can't change these guys minds and it's ok because they provide the balance this world needs.

I am not a fan of Floyd outside of the ring....that attitude is too much for me, but a man is his own man. However, i believe newbies are mistaken his quote "leftovers" and taking it out of context. When he used the quote he usually says something along the line of Manny is getting credit for people he already beat, while they try to discredit his wins against those said people.

He doesn't meant it as win, per se, but more of not getting credit for it. Though Manny wins might have been more impressive against, Oscar, hatton, i still believe Floyd has fought them under better condition. Hatton didn't have to lose as much weight and was undefeated, and Oscar didn't have to lose as much either. People need to cut out the crop about Hatton being undefeated at 140...a loss is loss and people moved up all the time in weight, especially a guy like hatton who can't seem to keep his weight down. Hatton just doesn't have the skills to hang with Manny or Floyd at any weight.

I stay away from these forum nowadays as it feels like middle school with all immature arguments and sissy fits. Stop acting like kids and see things for what they are, and if most of you are kids masquerading as adults, please stop irritating the adults on the site with your nonsense.
