I wondered about that, too. It made me wonder if Robert has dealt with some shady fighters or turned a blind eye to certain actions of certain fighters within his gym.

Of course, this is just me speculating but it makes me wonder.

Ríos and Margarito are both all-action entertaining fighters, but Margarito was involved in that plaster incident in 2009 and Ríos was in bad shape before becoming a professional boxer.

I cas say is a few years ago about four or five years back the southern california golden gloves tourney a trainer complained that Robert had rolled the gauze up to form a knuckle pad and he tapped over that making a tight pad with tape, then wrapped it in the hand wrap in which it looks like its legit but its a solid taped down knuckle pad thats illegal.
