It depends on the person. P4P is only an opinion.

He might be moved up to 3rd behind Martinez.

Ortiz may not win on the scorecards, but if he's even competitive, it'll be a great fight for everyone.

Probably be #2 or #3 if he beats Ortiz by UD. A early KO before 9 rd which is unlikely might propel him to #1. But most likely #2.

Really depends on the matter he beats Ortiz.

I'm one of the few here that defend Mayweather without going overboard.

But objectively speaking, even if he HASN'T lost, I don't see how you can make him pound-for-pound #1 after this fight. He can't keep dropping off the charts after a year of inactivity/retirement, beat a big name opponent and jump to #1.

The difference between Ortiz and Mosley is that WHEN Mayweather fought Mosley, Mosley was #3 or #4 pound-for-pound. Ortiz is not even in the top ten.

He might get up there in 5 or 4 pound-for-pound because of how incredibly dominating he looks, but aside from that...I don't think you can establish him as #1. Maybe #3 at best after/if he wins...

Let's try to keep this in perspective guys...

And who did Floyd beat to take the crown from? I don't remember him beating Roy Jones... If you lose or if you don't fight,... you lose the right to be #1. You got to be active to be #1.
