Ortiz is being incredibly underrated here. I'm surprised and glad about that. Victor has obviously never fought anybody like Floyd before, but when has Floyd fought anyone like Ortiz? Ortiz is not just a young, strong ****er; he has excellent speed and solid boxing skills (on offense). The way Floyd appears to be hitting the bag in 24/7, I have no worries that Vic is going to walk through Floyd's stuff. I'm obviously among the minority, but I'm going with Ortiz. I'm tempted to call a KO within 5, but I'm going with the UD. I think Ortiz is going to be sharp, focused and strong from bell to bell. Floyd will be too defensive to win many rounds, so I think Vic will take the decision. That decision will include KD points.

Still, i won't be surprised to see Mayweather hit the canvas for the first time...but it's more a reason to see him come out harder than usual and not give Ortiz that chance.
He just may hit the canvas I feel that way too but, not a KO can't see it. I think Victor has a shot at this if the can make Floyd lead on offense and come forward. Floyd gets hit cleaner when he is doing the attacking in the early rounds. When Floyd fights going backwards he's gonna make Ortiz pay with counters. That's why he's tries to piss people off so they go on the attack leaving themselves open for counter shots.

Not that it's impossibe but, who has Ortiz knocked out to make you think this? He couldnt finish Berto or Peterson and Floyds defense is a few classes above those two and has better chin.

CompuBox review the numbers for the last six fights involving WBC champion Victor Ortiz, and the last seven fights involving Floyd Mayweather Jr. Ortiz is the busier fighter. Mayweather Jr. is more accurate, landing nearly half of his power punches. Both of them throw below the welterweight average. Ortiz landed just 11% of his jabs, making his power punch the key to the fight.
