Antonio Margarito & Victor Ortiz, the many similarities

Tonight, as we all know, Floyd Mayweather Jr., is fighting Victor Ortiz. Based on the standards Floyd created for his opponents to meet before they fight him,

its rather strange seeing Victor get this fight.

Some years ago, Antonio Margarito was denied by Mayweather, a chance to share the ring together because he didn't fulfill the requirements made by Mayweather.

It was said by Floyd that Margarito didn't deserve a fight with him because,
"he has losses"
"nobody knows him"


The funny thing is, when I look at Victor Ortiz, I see the same exact thing Floyd described when he ran from a Margarito bout.

We've seen Ortiz flat out quit in a fight and we've never seen him headline a PPV.

So, why is Floyd fighting Victor again if his entire reason for not fighting Margarito is because he had losses and nobody knows him?


Because Floyd seen the one glaring difference between the two. Victor has quit in a fight when the going got real tough whereas Margarito was the guy who will never quit but instead, keep coming with everything he has.


Floyd knows, Margarito would have demolished him.
