Because they have an agenda. Floyd has decent power--not featherfisted by any means.

Floyd isn't a big hitter but he has exceptional timing and that is almost as good as being heavy handed. Great timing can produce great finishes.

Floyd has speed and accuracy which gives him good power. His opposition respects it enough to be cautious.

He's not feather fisted by any means.

Come on, we know Floyd has power but this is false. Marquez moved forward for 12 rounds, he came to fight. Mosley was right in front of him for 12 round, Oscar was, Baldomir was, plenty of fighters stay right in front Mayweather and fight without getting stopped.

No need to counter the "Mayweather has no power" crap with a lie like that.

He's got good power but not great. Certainly not feather fisted.

In fact a 60%+ K.O ratio against the opposition he's faced isn't that bad at all.

Tbh anybody that has boxed before will tell you how much those sort of shots hurt. Nothing is as bad as an accurate, stinging, spiteful puncher that can hit you in the blink of an eye with 3-4 crisp shots from angles you didn't know existed. - Imo they are the worst shots because you instantly feel them unlike the thudding/thumping type of shots.

The funny thing is even if he knocked Ortiz out cold most of you would only say Ortiz was chinny, a quitter & not give him any respect.

                Haters gonna hate!
Because the last guy Mayweather KO'ed was Hatton who had a glass chin?

Dude people talk shyt because they hate Floyd.

                  Because he is feather fisted?

Most of his KOs come from his early career. If he fought fights like Diego Corrales, and actually fought like that. I'd be a fan. As it is, I don't see how anyone can be a fan of this guy.

Even his technical soundness is *boring* to watch. There's plenty of legends who were both technical genius and exciting to watch.

His last 26 fights his KO % is 12/26, 46%.
His last 16 fights his KO % is 6/16, 38%
His last 6 fights (which is really what matters, since that is from 2006 on and the relative years of his "prime" career) his KO% is 1/6, 17%.

He may have started his career out with a high KO%, but he's not a power shot fighter anymore.

If you watch his sparring sessions, he's just as light fisted as Joe Calzaghe (if not more so). He puts speeds on his punches, but that's about it. Some of it is hand issues, but some of it is the style of fighting he adopted (non engagement).

I'm not saying Floyd is a KO artist but really, who has KO'ed JMM, a defensive great? Pac couldn't even do it..... (yet)

Who has ever KO'ed Mosley? Pac couldn't even do it.

Who has KO'ed Oscar besides the much larger Hopkins? Pac couldn't even do it, as Hoya just quit.

Who had KO'ed Baldo? In fact Baldo had been on a 21 fight non losing streak and had only been KO'ed once back in 1994 (his 7th pro fight). When Floyd fought Baldo, he (Baldo) was coming off a Judah UD win and a KO over Gatti (RIP). He was a solid threat with an iron chin, much like Margarito who would take punishment but never stopped coming.

There is a point to what Mayweather is saying but I think its more about Ortiz being young and fighting with his heart and not his brain. Floyd is trying to get Vic to be reckless. If that happens, a tko/stoppage is plausible. Depending on how smart Ortiz fights is what it will come down to. Will he fight ****** or retreat to survive?
