He needs to fight two more fights maybe at 154 and then get another belt. I feel bad for the kid because I don't think he intentionally did that. If there's one who should be called a cheater it's Ortiz. Jumping in with your head first is not legal in boxing.
Cortez waved them in, Victor tried to be "nice" and Floyd punished him - with his fists. The two punches were legal. Was it bad sportsmanship? Maybe - it depends. But Larry Merchant didn't have anything on Floyd.
Larry Merchant is a contradicting *******. He complained about the referee in Floyd's first fight against Castillo because the referee said "calm down and keep it clean". Now, Merchant is complaining about Floyd not keeping it clean but he doesn't talk about the insanely intentional headbutts by Ortiz.
