i had maidana by a point. i just re-watched the fight lately (within the last week) and it wasn't as an impressive performance by khan as i remembered it being live. i would say a rematch is warranted and that the fight was even slightly controversial because of cortez' style of reffing.

This is a DAMN good fight why all you haters b1tching?

Maidana, Khan fought already this time last year. If Leonard had beaten Duran in Montreal there would have been no rematch and its the same with Khan and Maidana for the time being. If Marcos moves up a division it might look better but right now Khan needs to be working on as many different styles as possible to get ready for Mayweather.

In fact I would reccommend he clean out 140 before he moves up to 147 at all. That means fight Peterson and Bradley if possible.

Looks like Bradley could be back in the mix pretty soon too.

He fought McCloskey who is a very dangerous/akward opponent then what does he do? He fights a slick African American in Zab Judah...yes, Zab is not the same Zab but Zab just beat a tough Mabuza and was coming off a title win. But of course, everyone said Zab was washed up. So what is he doing now? Fighting a YOUNG PRIME SLICK African American. Everybody is putting Lamont Peterson off but if you peep the guy, he is actually good as hell. He has some of the best body punching in the game and has even sparred with Mayweather. Instead of always being critics, how about boxing fans SUPPORT THE FIGHTERS WHO DOES WHATS GOOD FOR FANS, NOT JUST GOOD FOR BUSINESS.
Tim has fought top opponents for a while. People choose to ignore his contractual problems thatit is a reality. If Khan dominates Peterson a lot of ppl opinion will change favorably for Khan.

Judah was a good win but Zab hasn't done anything notable in a while and only fights in spots

You look at Judah's record and its almost like the guy gets on HBO or a decent show in Vegas and things begin to look good for him and he just 5hits his pants.

yeap, close thread with that reply.

People say Floyd has no fans but it isn't true, he does the biggest numbers and has one of the biggest followings on boxingscene and when a fighter is a threat to him the *****s close ranks on that fighter.
