hopkins is overlooked, underappreciated, or just straight out dissed by his non-supporters because they feel his middleweight career is overrated...he was either too skilled, or just way bigger than most of the division outside of jones and taylor, to which he lost to both...plus there was no fight with winky wright when wright was 154lb. champ and hopkins was 160 lb. champ...
most of his 2nd run @ 175 was nothing but catchweight fights were he always held the size and strength advantage outside of tarver, calzaghe, and pascal...in which his record is 2 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw...the jones 2 fight was utter garbage...
hopkins non supporters see that the man has talent, only thing they asked is to fight guys who were his size or bigger with equal talent....the pascal win was good....and he got credit from everybody and some media props...hopefully the trend continuesLast edited by djtmal; 09-16-2011, 02:12 PM.Comment

I can't get excited about this cherry picker....I don't care about his age it's the opposition..Pascal??? please...next to the heavy wt's , 175 isthe weakest in boxing and if Bute was bigger he'd whip his ass...Archie Moore fought past 50...as for all time great ?...hardly and SRR would've ko'd him and if you don't accept that you don't know boxing...Comment
