I think we all can agree Ortiz was a cherrypick.

Starting a thread like this just makes u look like a hater bro.
Ortiz was the best opponent Floyd could have faced at WW not called Pacquaio. Thats clear. Its hard to say who's fault PBF and Pac arent fighting yet but regardless of that Ortiz wasnt a cherry pick and neither was Mosley.
As for Pac, his fights with Cotto, Clottey and Margarito werent either
Floyd has had several years to pick much better opposition at 147, so lets not try to justify this fight by saying Victor was the best opponent available. When the division was at its peak, Floyd was fighting old men, jr. welterweights and lightweights or he was nowhere to be found.

Pretty much anyone that Floyd and Manny face at this stage is a cherry pick unless it's against each other (or Serg, but that won't happen).
Floyd and Manny are simply in a league of their own among the guys at 147 (and 140 lb guys moving up for that matter).Comment

i disagree. sergio wont be viewed as a cherrypick.Comment

Id actually like to see Manny vs Ortiz with no CW in a regular sized ring , although Manny would NEVER fight Vic in a million years without a CW ,
thats based purely on Mannys recent history of who , when , and why he CW some guys and not some other inhouse or old opponents .
Manny is the biggest cherry picker in the history of boxing only he did with CWs and very specific timing .Comment

If people thought Floyd Mayweather Jr. was going to return for a payday or two and then head back into retirement, they are very mistaken. Mayweather returns to the ring on July 18 against Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Floyd has been away from the ring since a December 07 knockout of Ricky Hatton.Comment
