The question is, can Ortiz stay mentally strong to take Floyd's punishment. If he can, it will be a long night for Floyd. If not, then Floyd will start breaking him down early and get just get the victory.
I think Ortiz will be taken from the shallow waters into shark territory. That's where he'll have to prove if he's got the heart to hang.

If he does have the heart, but looks helpless and hopeless, his corner will probably send in the lifeguard to pull him out and pump all the water he swallowed from his lungs.

But all kidding aside, I expect Vic to bring his best game and make Floyd earn his money.

Much props to him if he shows his true mettle and gives Floyd problems in there.

physically, victor is VERY capable of hanging with floyd. ortiz is actually a threat... but mentally, victor is too fragile. floyd will toy with this kid.

i wonder what vic will do around rd 5 when floyd starts picking him apart...
victor: "fúck this shít, i made my 2.5 mil already... IM OUT!!!"

the best thing for victor to do is have the right mentality:
mexican mentality: warrior first... fight till the end.
american mentality: money first... show up & collect your check.

Victor, you should be careful on what you say because IF/WHEN Floyd beats you. Then it makes you look worst by what you said that you had the same chance at beating Floyd as a small, old guy.

Many of us have realized this for a long time now:

JR has in the past 7 years fought:

            Sorry sloppy fighters : Balto

Old fighters: Gatti, OLD MAN MOSLEY, ODH

            Little fighters: Bumrush Hatton

One WEE little fatman from the Featherweights JMM

            SOMEBODY HAS BEEN DUPED

            Ortiz to win by KO

it's not a good sign that Ortiz has been talking such trash -- signs of nerves and self-doubt I think -- if he doesn't get himself under control when the fight starts, he's going to be in real trouble early -- think the fight will be competitive with Ortiz's early adrenaline rush giving PBF some trouble -- then Mayweather figures him out and ends it in the 8th or 9th round

honestly, i cant wait to see ortiz's eyes before the opening round. i hope he has the same fire & determination against floyd. i hope the guaranteed 2.5 mil didnt make victor soft.

the "focused/possessed" look he had for the berto fight still sticks with me.

victor is correct, wifebeater's run at WW is pretty weak...

ortiz could probably beat everyone wifebeater fought at WW. ortiz vs the versions of dlh and mosley that wifebeater fought would give him a close fight though.
