You gotta give MT credit as for 3-4 years he was percieved as being "invincible" - in that respect he had a firmer grip on the HW division than LL, who people always suspected may come unstuck on the odd "off night".

That said Lewis was the top man for nearly a decade (7-8 years) - and never ducked anyone and in most respected opinion's (barring some biased yanks-no offence guys) was the best HW in the world. SO im not sure why Lewis has to be brought in to every single negative EH/MT article?

LL was blatantly better than Evander (Who did he ever beat?) Holyfield, who was never for one single day the best heavyweight in the world yet is above LL in some's all time list?- and was probably the equal of MT (MT's reign was more dominant - LL's was longer).

As ever - just my opinion, i dont claim it to be fact.

I like Lewis a lot... but if you've seen the HOlyfield/Lewis fights you'd know they were close and I'd definately give 1 of em' to Holyfield.

Close? - over the 24 rounds my opinion would be 15-9 to LL

8 - 4 the first
7 - 5 the second (so in fairness the second was indeed close)
