I figured that Floyd just wanted to use Reyes because they were using 10 oz gloves for that fight since it was @ 154. I never knew DLH forced him. Which seems kind of odd, to be honest.

lol at people here calling Grant Gloves pillows, yet they have never even tried a pair on let alone been hit by them to feel what they're like.

It's not fair to compare klitscko power with the power of welterweights. Klitsckos are stronger.

Grant gloves are "pillow" gloves though

Anyways, I understand that it's going to be 8oz. But, I don't understand the ridiculous "get hit by them" talk.

There is a difference between getting hit with Grant 8oz gloves, to getting hit with Reyes(punchers gloves) 8oz gloves.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter. Because, quite frankly Ortiz can't fuck with Floyd regardless.

If it was so obvious people wouldn't be comparing the ability of the klitsckos to knock out opponents with a certain type of glove, to other fighters in lighter weight classes.

It's not as obvious as your nick is original, wait I mean it's not original but it is original. It's original but at the same time it's not.

8 oz reyes are not the same as 8 oz grants. The weight is distributed in different areas of the glove. No comparison

Usually, they don't. I thought that fighters could elect either Reyes/Grant gloves separately, but that the weight of the gloves should be determined beforehand.

You know what's interesting? Grant gloves' are generally regarded as more cushioned gloves and Reyes' for punchers because the weight distribution is different. Grant gloves distribution is more up front, thus cushioning your hands while Reyes is more at the wrist, less padding up front, more damage...

Now here's the big "what if"...the gloves for the Mosley/Mayweather fight were Grant gloves...the second round of the Mosley fight Mayweather got hit with a huge right hand with a Grant glove.

I sometimes wonder what would have happened had that been a Reyes glove.

haha, steve kim. kind of wish ortiz was using cleto reyes gloves, but it is what it is. ortiz has hard puches regardless of the glove imo,
