Does Mayweather set a good example for Black people and their culture in America?

Floyd has a foundation for children that he funds with his own money. He also has a boxing club for youth here in MI over in Grand Rapids. He takes care of all of his children, including assuring that their finances are taken care of and college is paid for already. His skirmishes in the street are on video and it is clear that he is being provoked by people who wish to sue him and get rich quick. His ex wife didn't look like a woman who was abused and did not have so much as a red mark to show for anything she claimed. Mayweather does a lot of work with children and has helped to clean up boxing and make the sport safer by starting the trend of taking full random blood testing up to a fight, so we know he is not a dirty steroid abuser.
He is also a pretty smart business man who has made massive amounts of money by himself in a sport in which you are usually controlled by a promoter who takes most of your money and decides whether or not you will be successful.
He is not as bad of an example as Pacquiao is, that's for sure.
Pacquiao is also a well known alcoholic. Floyd is known for his hard work ethic, his ability to stay in shape inbetween fights, and for not drinking or using drugs.Comment

I really don't think sub-Saharan Africans spam websites all day talking about how awesome their country is...furthermore, the TS (obviously Pinoy) started a thread about how Mayweather is a bad role model for African Americans. I responded that nobody actually views him as a role model in America. The entire "*****" thing is something the Pacquiao fanatics had to create to justify only following boxing because of one fighter.
Actually, this thread is the first I've seen people talking about the philippines.
From what I've seen on this particular forum, 90% of the threads are mayweather's fans desperately trying to put the blame on pacquiao for the fight not happening. Nothing to do with either country at all.
You likened the economic situtation of the Philippines to Rwanda which just shows you are horribly misinformed. If the p4p king was a rwandan, can you honestly say for sure that they would not be just as proud? Besides, I can name some other countries as well where people are very proud of their athletes. Yao Ming in china for instance, and look at any tennis video which is full of serbs supporting novak djokovic.
I agree that filipinos go overboard on their praise of pacquiao but i have not seen it on this board, only on places like youtube, which can only be expected.Comment

No hes the type of guy, that still tries to create a divide between races....
I know people like them, people I talk to....and they talk sometimes as if they are either superior to other races...or as if because their skin colour is black/brown/white.... they are a different kind of person
You also get racist people who will say *****, pak1 or h0nkey....but if one of those words were ever used against them, they would flip....dumb people
I dont like people like mayweather....Comment

Hater why are you always here slick hatin on MAyweather. I dont mean to be petty but frankly Im tired of seeing that weak ass avi knowing nothing worth listening to is to its immediate right. A simple answer to this thread is "Not one black person represnets the race, including *****". But you being the hater that you are try to find one small insignificant thing to argue instead of being on the side of right.Comment
