From what I know I have never seen black people walking down the street waving Ivorian flags talking about their Ivorian pride...Philippines is a third world dump of a nation and the whole "pinoy pride" thing is a joke...its like being proud of your Rwandan heritage, it is just ****** and naive.
Does Mayweather set a good example for Black people and their culture in America?

There is a huge difference between the way Filipinos look at Pacquiao and the way African-Americans look at Mayweather. Nobody looks at Floyd Mayweather like he is some hero or role model. Filipinos look at Pacquiao like that because it is a country that has nothing, sucks at sports, and most of the people there have nothing. Philippines is a horribly impoverished third world country, that is why so many men leave the country to work in better places and why so many women will marry anyone to get out of there. There are at least 100 better known athletes than Mayweather here. All Philippines has is Pacquiao. Adam Carolla nailed it in his controversial commentary. You can't compare the two because there is nothing similar.
This answers the TS ******, CHILDISH AND IGNORANT QUESTION!
What some people like and respect about Mayweather is his WORK ETHIC, his RISE TO THE TOP, Him being able to leave Bob Arum and basically becoming a BIGGER SUPERSTAR ON HIS OWN and now he benefits the most from it because UNLIKE SOME...he doesn't have some LEACH PROMOTER taking most of his Money
like Everywhere posted, I honestly don't think anybody is looking for Mayweather to be "AN EXAMPLE" nor are they looking to WORSHIP HIM AS A "GOD" like some people do other fighters...Mayweather is SIMPLY A BOXER...NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS...and a lot of people understand that the trash talking on HBO 24/7 and in front of the media is to SALE FIGHTS, it worked for the Oscar fight and made in a TON OF MONEY...why should be stop now?
but his WORK ETHIC and BOXING SKILLS is something to be admired and is something that people will look back years from now and use as an example as to how to be a successful BOXERComment

He's referring to nationality not race. Please learn the difference. What happen to the zero tolerance for these threads and posters? Why every time a black person does something he's representing an entire race, but with the other races he/she is an individual? Oscar is a crackhead, cheater, rapist, and cross dressers, so is representing the American-Mexican community? Hatton is a cokehead, drunk, cheater, so is Calzaghe are these men representing their caucasions race? Manny is drunk, cheater, gambler and possible a steroid user, is he representing all Asian? Stop trying to push through y'all racial agendas, by using one person's action to broadbrush an entire race. If you have problems with blacks come out and say it and stop being a cowards.Comment

I don't think he does, but does it even matter? Its not like he's telling people to act like him, and he's not required to act like a good model. Encouraged/ expected to, yes, but not required. Same thing applies to all celebrities.
Even Pacquiao can act like a b!tch, and I wouldn't give a ****.Comment

I really don't think sub-Saharan Africans spam websites all day talking about how awesome their country is...furthermore, the TS (obviously Pinoy) started a thread about how Mayweather is a bad role model for African Americans. I responded that nobody actually views him as a role model in America. The entire "*****" thing is something the Pacquiao fanatics had to create to justify only following boxing because of one fighter.Comment
