Floyd Mayweather will "make love" to Victor Ortiz
today at 5:07 am
Controversial boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather will offer a new slant to “return to the ring” on Saturday night – his coach says he will make love to his opponent Victor Ortiz.
Mayweather is back in action for the first time in 16 months when he takes on defending WBC welterweight champion Ortiz at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Despite that lay-off he goes into the fight as hot favourite to dethrone the 24-year-old Californian southpaw – and his trainer Nate Jones reckons Floyd will be The Man, in more ways than one, on Saturday night.
“We’re going to bring Ortiz to the middle of the ring and make love to him. You won’t see a seventh round in the fight because Mayweather is going to stop him in the first six, I do believe.
“He don’t realise what he’s getting in to. Mayweather is a true champion. We seen it in all the fights Mayweather has been in, with Oscar [de la Hoya], with Zab [Judah], he finds a way to win and that’s what’s going to happen on September 17.”
Mayweather has won all 41 of his professional fights, including 25 knock-outs, and has held world titles at five different weight divisions.
