Your prediction for Ortiz / Mayweather

Post how you think it will play out, followed by your prediction for how it will end and your scorecard if a decision.

Ortiz will NOT come out brawling. He will box with Floyd the first few rounds the same way he did with Peterson. When asked about a Manny / Floyd matchup, his trainer Hoss said that it would be tough for Manny because he would try to make the fight and be the one to engage. This leads me to believe that their plan for Ortiz is to not engage / brawl, but to box, and if Floyd says he will stay toe-to-toe, Ortiz will barrage him with heavy punches then and only when he gets close.

When Ortiz does get close, he will throw heavy combinations, miss often, and get caught up in a clinch with Floyd. Ortiz will not be able to bring down Floyd if he's caught in the ropes like he did with Berto - Floyd has show his ability to defend and move away when against the ropes.

There is a chance of Floyd being knocked down between round 3 - 5.

SD win for Floyd. My scorecard - 115 - 112 for Floyd.

The ref calls a halt to the action in the 9th or 10th rd because Ortiz is taking to much punishment and is not answering back..May wins tko in the 9th or 10th...

I think it's more likely ortiz gets stopped than floyd decision... Ortiz is being hyped up and even though he is a good "lil" fighter as floyd called him, he is not even close to the level of mayweather. I watched the berto/ortiz fight several times and it's very clear that ortiz is not a very accurate puncher. Ortiz is very reckless and does not have a high boxing iq or great speed to match mayweather (His hand speed to me at welter is slower than when he was at 140... he's not slow by any means but he's not fast either)I do not see how he will land much of anything on floyd.

Floyd looks in amazing form in his recent training videos.. I expect to see the floyd that fought marquez. Against mosley I don't think mayweather was at his best speed wise.I can't call when I think the fight will be stopped.. but I do think mayweather will stop him.

Floyd is a prodigy, Victor is just some dude with gloves on previliged enough to be sharing a ring with him for a while.

        Floyd by TKO

He couldn't stop a shot Mosley who stood in front of him all night and a little Lightwieght who was 36 years old explain how he will stop a big strong young welter. Ortiz isn't a little guy like Hatton what 5 foot 4 inch he's 5 foot 9inches

I was going to go play by play but it doesn't matter. By round 3-4 he will have been downloaded. By round 6-7 Floyd is tagging him at will, by Round 8-9 Garcia threatens to end the fight if he doesn't do something, round 10-11 the fight gets called on a TKO.

All I am going to predict is that it's going to be a toe to toe battle that is a lot better than everyone thought.

                WAR ORTIZ!

Floyd runs around for 12 rounds throwing 20 punches a round and using his elbows to hit and hug whenever Ortiz comes into range.

If Floyd gets Knocked down then Cortez will rule it a slip or deduct points off Ortiz for some BS.

It will be like Mayweather - Hatton where Floyd landed more Elbows than Punches.

but for *****'s its okay since "as long as u dont get caught cheating then its okay to do it"
