i think the ref is to blame here... he wasn't very decisive in what happened when vernon slipped throwing the punch.. he should've gotten in between them for the moment then continued the end of the 10th.. also partly Garcia's fault for making assumptions and letting his guard down.

basically i'm sure forrest is a little disappointed that this was basically a full fight, but Garcia was much tougher an opponent than his last due to the fact that Garcia took some serious shots and survived. I don't agree with the booing crowd tho, as the knock-down was well on its way had the fight been a round or two longer, they guy took serious punishment the whole fight, he had nice determination but this was Forrests' fight.

To add, Forrest would've won had it gone to the scorecards.. the crowd was just behind Garcia because he would throw punches back after being hit well by Forrest, even tho they were mostly ineffective, im sure it looked good to the crowd (of professionals im sure ) But, other than heart and the will to take a shot, nothing was stopping a W for Forrest tonight.

I didn't see a problem with the stoppage, with a minute of less left in the fight, what was Garcia really going to accomplish? He was a very tough, rock-solid opponent for Forrest, but didn't nearly match the skill level.

IMO, its elco's fault. he didnt pay attention to the refs ruling and he didnt protect himself, but i dont think the ref shouldve stopped it when he did.
He should have atleast counted him out!
Come on... this was the final round with like a min to go

I was disappointed in Vernons performance to be honest.

That was all the ref's fault as he was calling it a slip when forrest slipped behind forrest rather than stepping in between and forrest never seemed to have noticed it and ktfo garcia..anyway if the refree would have stepped in,i would predict forrest to ko garcia as he had no legs after he took that wide left hook which wobbled him.I DID LIKE TO SEE FOREST have some more confidence in himself and tangle with VARGAS.

no it wasn't. man, you obviously didn't watch the slow motion replay. I caught it on the first time live that it wasn't a knockdown against forrest. Forrest just got too wild. He wasn't knocked down, he slipped, period.

Now, bad stoppage? I totally disagree. You really must not like that Garcia guy if you thought that was a bad stoppage. He had lost all the previous rounds, just got dropped when he wasn't looking, and really looked like he had no intention of getting up. Would he have gotten up? Maybe. There was over a minute left I think, say exactly a minute left. The way Forrest was getting him before Forrest slipped, he was about to get him anyhow.

You guys are the type that'd be more happy had the ref stopped it while the guy was still standing than if he was up though I can tell. I disagree with that, like in the Castillo-Corrales 1 fight. The one that went down TWICE was the one that got the bs win. Castillo got punished for not going down.
