Do you think Gomez will give Canelo a tougher fight than Ryan Rhodes?

Triangle theories don't work, but with that being said, Cotto took this guy out in 5 rounds and if a bigger, younger, stronger and fresher fighter can't one up Cotto's performance against Gomez, then we'll be seeing his ceiling reached pretty soon

yeah he will. he knows everyone will be watching, so he's going to need to go all out. rhodes was ****** because his gameplan was to wear alvarez out (let him tire out) and turn it up in the mid-late rounds, but he himself got worn out by that time, and alvarez wasn't tiring. gomez will come to fight, i'm really looking forward to this one.

That was a long time ago, Gomez has improved a lot since then. Plus he says that he had an injured hand during training for the Cotto fight.

It was 3 yrs ago and he was merely a decent contender at that point. He's already reached his ceiling. I don't see how you can conclude he has improved since then, based off of beating up a washed up JLC?

And in regards to his hands, they could have been wrapped with Margarito's special gloves and given a blessing from Jesus and he still would have gotten murked.

If Canelo is 'special' as he claims he is, then this fight should be over by the 3rd or 4th round

i honestly think if canelo wins..and cotto does also..canelo vs cotto should be awesome..considering cottos brother almost KO'd canelo

People will be surprised at how competitive this fight is. Canelo will win, but Gomez is a warrior and he'll fight toe-to-toe. Much better fight than Rhodes, I almost gaurantee it.

I also think Cotto was/is in a different league than Canelo. Gomez has also improved since then I believe as well.
