    Ricky Hatton's biggest downfall...

was it getting rid of billy graham??

drinking beer, snorting coke and shagging fat birds aside, i think it this was.

don't get me wrong, floyd senior no doubt knows his stuff, but hatton is no avoid mayweather. and the cracks were there prior to the pac fight. and before anyone jumps in, i'm not blaming floyd snr for hatton getting iced off pac.

but i honestly think that billy graham would have been in a better position to prepare hatton for the pac fight. i'm not saying the outcome would have been different, because it wouldn't. but i think BG would have put a better camp together, and would have would have worked on ricky's strong points in order to beat pac......or at least last longer.

i know the lazcano performance was poor, but we are talking about a guy who helped ricky to his biggest wins, and had worked with him since he was a kid. plus, and lets be fair, he did give a dam good account of himself against avoid.

anyone else think hatton should have stuck with billy?

p.s i think it's very sad and silly that their relationship has ended up like it as. grow ffs.

I thought Ricky was a good fighter, but early on I think it was clear that he was a limited fighter. Hell, even in 2004 his own country were telling him to stay away from a young Miguel Cotto.

I think the fact that he would balloon up in weight between fights and party like a rock star just eventually caught up with him. You can only do that for so long and he should have known better.

          I agree with this . . .

On the other hand, he must have been something kind of special to live his kind of lifestyle, and still accomplish what he did. Imagine if he had been more dedicated in his off time.

Absolutely. I was always amazed when I would see how big he was between fights and then he would trim down and be a total beast in the ring.

boys, i couldn't agree more re the weight fluctuation between fights, and that was most evident with ac fight. but what i'm saying is, surely he should have kept BG? one **** performance (people will think more) against lazcano shouldn't warrant rid of BG.

btw, shaggin fat birds is good for dropping weight - not olnly are you buring c's off, but when you get up in the am, the last thing on your mind is eating.......trust me, i know.

"You saw more action in my fight with Castillo then you did in floyd's whole career" Thats about when the rollercoaster started heading downward.

...was being born a crude, low talent clubfighter.
