    Boxing and Hip Hop???

Is Boxing getting mixed with the Hip Hop culture?

Eminem is rumoured to be following up his acting debut
in 8 Mile with a starring role in a boxing movie.
He's said to be playing the part of undefeated 23-year-old
Ukranian-born ***ish boxing phenomenon Dmitriy Salita.

The rapper has reportedly recruited Lennox Lewis' old trainer
Emanuel Steward to prepare him for the role.

Steward said: "I put him through his paces and I was amazed that
he was as good as he was. Since then, he's trained regularly and I've
put him in the ring with some top-notch sparring partners.

"He's improved enormously. He's aggressive, a real slugger.
He moves a lot like Muhammad Ali."

In EA Sports Fight Night 2004, they have all Rap tracks:

Puff Daddy feat. Notorious Big & Busta Rhymes – “Victory”
I-20 feat. Chingy – “Fightin In The Club”
David Banner feat. Static – “Crank It Up”
Jr Ewing – “Time To Get Dirty
    Lil Scrappy – “Head Bussa”
Cee Lo – “I’ll Be Around”
    Mop – “Fire”

Most of the boxers have Hiphop/Rap music in their entrance music...

Will Smith starred in the Movie Ali...

    Jarule boxed as a lightweight...

I have read on a number of occasions that KO NATION failed because of the hip hop crap that they focused in on...

I could give a **** about the hip hop I just want to see good fights and KO NATION had some really great Satrday afternoon matchups and that is exactly what KO NATION was providing...

I think Hip Hop had little to do with the show failing but it takes all of the blame which to me is a bit unfair (an trust me Im no hip hop kind of guy).

KO NATION deserves another shot, hip hop or not.

Boxing is a street sport and Hip-Hop is what's in
I mean, what do you expect boxers to listen, Beethoven 5th?

        Boxing and Hip Hop???

Rappers want to be hard and even pretend to be hard, while boxers are hard, so rappers want to align themselves with boxers to help boost their hardcore image...

Exactly, considering the only good Hip-Hop is that from the early 90s when the guys were actually hard and rapped about something important, these days its a bunch of posers who claim to be from the projects, lived through some sord of a "struggle" and claim to be hard and rap about bitches and hoes, guns and benjamins.

Only good hip-hop is old school hip hop and some of the new underground stuff.
