How come no one wants to talk about boxing? Every forum I join I see the same old ******* and Gayweather talk. I just don't understand why some of you guys love to suck Manny's and Mayweather's **** so much.

Because they're the only one that matters in boxing today....

Its comical to see some armchair boxing experts give the recipe, the plan, to beat Floyd. No one has it, and unless Floyd gets old overnight, won't anytime soon. Floyd is on a different level than any welterweight. Have you ever seen him on the canvas? Have you ever seen him tire? Have you ever seen him get worse as the bout goes on?

Ortiz has a chance, yes, but it is slim. Smart money is on Floyd. Ortiz may catch Floyd a time or two, but then, as Mosley's trainer said, Floyd will grow fangs and spit fire, and go to work on you.

I am guessing half of the ppv buyers are buying it with hopes of Mayweather losing. "Pay to see me win, or pay to see me lose, as long as you pay to see me."

i would rather talk about strategies on here than argue who is ducking who or another fight...

talking boxing should be what this sight is about, not *****ing and complaining and degrading and arguing like a bunch of girls...

floyd is a complete boxer, i dont like him as a person but as a fighter he is a true phenom....

you know the most impressive physical feature of floyd? it isnt speed, it isnt timing, it isnt defense....

it is COORDINATION....his hand eye coordination is among the best in all of sports history.

i was talking about what a good strategy to beat a 35 year old boxer who has been out 16 months who relies on physical features while pot shotting with low activity over the last 4 years...

and that idea of a strategy is how calzaghe stole a win from bhop, activity and flashy combinations to out score one clean shot here and there...

what is wrong with talking strategy?

What do you see that makes you think Ortiz has false confidence ?

What I see in Jr. is a NEED to out trash talk, he NEEDS IT, he don't have the deep game heart that doesn't NEED it , because a deep game heart like JMM OR PAC are deeply satisfied.

Ortiz looks like a deer in headlights. One poster got it absolutely correct "Everytime he speaks I cringe". When he talks he wants to be dramatic but it just makes him sound slow and rehersed. He's just happy to be there. And truth be told, he wasnt sure if he belonged in the ring with Berto until a few rounds into the fight. Imagine what he's going through now. Too much pressure and he's fighting the best thang smokin in boxing. As for the trash talk, Man everybody wants to win that battle. Some people just dont have it so they call it classless. If Pac had heart, he would have immediately rematched Marquez at 130, like Mayweather did to Castillo. Instead, he ducked him for three years according to Michael Koncz, who admitted that Marquez had Manny's number.

And if pacroid had any heart, or any integrity, he would have met Marquez at 140 instead of dragging him all the way up to welter..... unless Manny was lying when he recently stated that 140 is his natural weight class?

Why is it that Pacquiao will NEVER step up and fight the best ?

He will fight them after Mayweather has beaten them, and he will fight them if they are old, faded, coming off a loss, or if they are disadvantaged either on the scales or at the negotiating table..... but not when they are at their peak.

Leonard Ellerbe, CEO for Mayweather Promotions, told the Grand Rapids Press that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to punish WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather feels "very, very disrespected" by some of the trash talk comments from Ortiz. He said Ortiz, along with his promoter Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, discredited Mayweather's accomplishments and a harsh price will be paid on Saturday.
