Most if not all Vegas fights are bought up by Casinos to give their rich clients an added incentive to stay a little longer. You ever notice at the really big shows how most of the front row are on there cell phones or posing for a camera op,oh and that promotion is to keep people here to play there machines craps tables etc.
Steve Kim: "Floyd-Ortiz ticket sales are LAGGING"

I've been reading Kim for years now on a semi-consistent basis and he has a heavy Top Rank bias. He appreciates Arum's style of promoting, stable, business deals, matchmaking, etc. and that's OK, but rarely have I seen him criticize Top Rank's decision (and there have been a few).Comment

Yea, him and Fish don't like Mayweather for whatever reason. They never elaborated on it from what i've read.
They kind of just leave it at, "Take my word for it, Floyd is a ****ty human being in person."
Never heard Kim play the Asian card once in regard to Paq or any other Asian fighter so Im a really big fan of him for proving he has no bias when it comes to race.
Now, when it comes to College football, Kim has an East coast bias...Comment

I don't remember that. All I ever hear him say is it's a good fight(style match up). He never goes out his way to **** on bob. I have no issue if he has a bias for TR. My thing is don't try to pass it off as if you are unbiased.Comment

What did you expect? Floyd is fighting Ortiz for a reason, dude is young, eager, and easy money. This fight won't be competitive after 4 or 5 rds and boxing fans should know this. If Ortiz is to win, he will have to do it really early on by dropping Mayweather, that is the only way, he won't win a decision or stop May late. Ortiz will have stamina issues after the 6th rd and that's when Mayweather will start to pick him apart.
Who wants to pay for a one-sided beatdown? Sure on paper it looks like a competitive fight and I can't blame Floyd for fighting him as it will be his toughest fight in a few years but he has so much experience over Ortiz and Ortiz swings so wide that May will win in a counterfest without much trouble as long as he is safe in the first 4 or 5.Comment

I said rarely... You mentioned 2 instances and he writes 2-3 articles a week... He takes shots at GBP, Gary Shaw, HBO, etc. once a week. His last article title is Dimmed Star Power, where he had saved an old e-mail with a somewhat negative experience about fights playing in movie theaters. I remember him defending Arum's decisions to not match Lopez against Caballero and Gamboa...
He's a good writer, but he has a heavy bias that makes him seem like a shill for Top Rank.Comment
