Biggest problem I see for Floyd will be the weight and size, I see Victor coming to the ring even heavier then he did for Berto, somewhere around 168 maybe.. and Floyd is not gonna weigh any more than 154 and that you can guarantee which is a big difference and may become a factor.. and that's why I just cant see Floyd knocking Ortiz out he will have to outbox him if anything, I see Victor just getting mentally and physically fatigue late and pot shotted to a UD similar to De la Hoya but more due to him adding a little to much muscle mass. but then again Floyd is known to have issues with southpaws and opponents that out weight him by more than 10 pounds (like Castillo, De la Hoya) and it's also pretty hard to hurt someone who outweighs you by that amount. Floyd can punch but not as hard as Berto can..

Jr. hasn't fought TOP WELTER WEIGHT CONTENDERS EVER much less over the time he has become WW. What 7 years ?

I know yall hate this , but its true, hahaha

Come on yall,,,,,give me a break,,,,,,,, BALTO ???

Zab ??? Look what Balto did to Zab. shaking me head

come on yall,,,LITTLE HATTON ???? What is that and to hear JR talk like this was his defining fight ?????????

Just stop here, you know the rest of the story, OLD MEN and one weeeee little fatman from the featherweights that JR cheated on ,,,in the weight to insure his win.

COME ON YALL,,,,,What has Happened ???

WE DON"T KNOW How JR will FARE against a top WW CONTENDER,, we will get a good idea when he fights ORTIZ.

We know ORTIZ's fight with Maidana, We also saw him in his last fight, the fight of REDEMPTION !!!!!

We DON"T understand why Jr. won't go up in weight to fight MARTINEZ ???

Jr.s LEGACY is extremely TAINTED and he must start pulling rabbits out of the hat to help it.

IF he beats ORTIZ and won't fight PAC then FIGHT BERTO OR MARTINEZ then fight PAC but best yet , just sign the contract forget the silly test that has proven to be an excuse not to fight the one who can crack his chin and dump his marred ASS on the floor.

AHHHHH but ORTIZ is a LIVE UNDERDOG !!!

LOOK FOR ORTIZ TO KO JR.
Ummmm...... Zab and Baldomir were both highly ranked at WW when Floyd fought them. Zab was the former undisputed champion (undisputed when Floyd signed to fight him) and Baldomir was the true Welterweight champion once he beat Judah and the recognized champion. Wasn't Margarito, Cotto or Williams. I can understand people thinking that Zab and Baldomir weren't big names or better fighters then the rest of them but they were the ones to beat when Floyd was there and he beat them. Floyd was even criticized for fighting Zab over Baldomir. By the way. It's Baldo NOT Balto. Anyways, going to be really interesting to see what you say after the fight if/when Mayweather wins.

Who's going to walk in and out of the MGM Grand with the WBC Welterweight title on September 17th? VICTOR ORTIZ.

Can't really say Floyd is cherry picking Ortiz, he's a legit ranked WW, young and hungry...With that said, he is no where near Mayweather or Pac's level. Vs pac, the fight would be action packed but Pac would still be the heavy favorite, vs Floyd, well we're afraid he'll pot-shot to an UD but hopefully he'll stay in the pocket and pick him apart from there.

i dont see him trying to add too much weight then having to cut that much weight leaving him dried out and dehydrated... that would be ignorant.

look for him to come in the same weight as last fight as his strength and energy was very good.

floyd is sharp but he isnt a power puncher, he hit hatton with probably 40 straight rights until he got him out of there and he hit the sitting duck shane with about 50 and never staggered him or had him hurt or in trouble.

floyd is hard to catch cleanly, ortiz can however win a lot of rounds on activity and bullying floyd all over the place keeping him from pot shotting..

floyd just does not punch in combinations, ortiz does and floyd doesnt hit

hard enough to stop him in his tracks.

berto hits harder than floyd and at this stage is faster....

i think floyd will have a lot of difficulty making the 35 year old off two years adjustment..

look for ortiz to win 5 rounds on activity alone, if he follows a smart gameplan
