Freddie is. Freddie has several students under him whereas Roger, really, Only has Floyd. Roger isn't much of a trainer in the sense that he doesn't teach you the game just makes sure you don't forget it. He's held back by his nephew though, in his defense.

Many a times he's been schedules to be in a fighters corner and floyd ruled against it, making him abandon said fighter. His brother, Floyd Sr, is a much better trainer.

Freddie Roach! Trained many champions and learned as an assistant under Eddie Futch.

Manny Pacquiao, Virgil Hill, James Toney, Oscar De La Hoya, and Mike Tyson.

Freddie Roach hands down! Beyond his mastery of the sport’s mechanics, is his ability to crawl inside the heads of his champions, which makes him excellent.

Freddie Roach, just look at the guys c.v.

Who is more knowledgeable is a tough one. We all know Freddie knows his boxing just by the way the guy creates his game plans for his fighters, but Roger is ******ly knowledgeable about the sport as well. I remember that thing he did in 24/7 about where most of the champions come from, etc.

I don't think either are over-rated but I do prefer ****m Richardson to both of these guys. Even though I can barely understand a thing either of them say.

Roach is better in the sense he knows the limitation of a trainer/modification of of boxer's existing style and the importance in predicating base on existing fighters weakness/strength.

Roach has a better resume but is still vastly overrated. Look at Manny Stewards resume and its just as good if not better than Roach's but he doesn't get nowhere near the attention that Roach gets. Truth is if he didn't have pac he wouldn't have half the fighters he's got today.

How overrated Roach is, is proven within the first few posts. He's being given credit for training Hoya and Tyson. Forget all the work Cus did right? Roach really made Tyson what he was? lol and forget about the fact that Roach trained Hoya for the Mayweather fight which Hoya lost lol

Roach is much much better than Roger M. -

BWAA has awarded 4 times, The Trainer of the Year Award to Roach, making him the Best Trainer of the World.

Roach trained Vasquez, Hill, Tyson, Toney, Ayala (I think) even before he had Pac. He won his first Trainer of the Year even before Pac won his FOY.

Had he trained Ricky Hatton, he would have maximized his strengths instead of changing him to be a different fighter like how the Mayweather's did.
