Agree with Punchnot seen...there is always so tactical challenges to get to your opponent, and Gomez doesn't have a racist bone in his body. TO wish him brain damage is a horrible thing to say. Gomez has been more verbal leading up to this fight, and I have to believe he is using it to influence what goes on in the ring to give him the best advantage. Maybe he wants Caenlo to go toe to toe early on...I guess we will see. I wish them both good luck and good health. I have known Gomez a long time and hope he reaches the top of the mountain this time.

Canelo is real Mexican but Gomez is a bum. This is a huge mismatch!

Gomez got KOed easily against Cotto in a non-competitive fight. Canelo is a bigger, younger aggressive fighter. Gomez does not have KO power, this is going to last less than 6 rounds just cause Gomez has a good chin

Damn, I don't think Gomez is as terrible as you guys are making him out to be. He's a decent fighter with good fundamentals. I think it is a good test for Canelo and not just some easy journeyman fight.

How is it, I mean why do people complain about Canelo, cherry picking, fighting blown up, journeymen, and accept this as legitimate, after Canelo picks another blown up journeyman for a defense. I could get rich selling bananas and Rogaine to Canelo challengers.
