This coming Saturday at Staples Center in California, Gomez will challenge Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for the WBC championship. The fight will be broadcast in a split-feed format on the Floyd Mayweather-Victor Ortiz HBO pay-per-view, which takes place in Las Vegas. Gomez wants to take the fight into the late rounds to test the young champion's worth.
