Comments Thread For: Wladimir, Vitali Klitschko: Adamek Should Move Down

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, and his younger brother, Wladimir, who holds the WBA/IBO/IBF/WBO titles, are in agreement that former two division champion Tomasz Adamek (44-2, 28 KOs) should move down in weight. On Saturday night in Poland, 42,000 fans watched Vitali give Adamek a brutal beating before the fight was stopped in the tenth round. Adamek is a former light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion.

well, in reality, Adamek has no choice but to move back down -- he was basically unimpressive as a HW "contender" against a few nondescript opponents and now his made his millions in a hopeless fight with a K bro....

Adamek is a natural cruiserweight at his current age. He was a natural light heavyweight in his 20s.

The only reason he moved up was for decent paydays - unlike Haye, he had no problems making the 200 pound cruiserweight limit.

he should go to cruiserweight - there are some good fights there. lebedev, huck, rematch with cunningham which was a good fight, and now tarver has hit hat back in the mix.

I agree.....if dudes like Chambers and Adamek go to CW...oh man, that division will be hot as hell....Tarver is there as well....would be a smart move for Adamek to go back down imo

I agree with the Klitschko brothers.

Adamek belongs at cruiserweight. He can be dominate at 200 pounds.

I don't see why, sure he can't beat a Klitschko, but I think he can beat everyone else (of course he can also be beaten by some of them). He should try to get a fight with Povetkin, so he can say he got a belt at HW, even if it's just a paper belt.

Yeah, I never really felt like he belonged at heavyweight in the first place.
