You know what I noticed? People who don't like Mayweather more from a personal stand point rather than a boxing one. How can people take what Floyd is saying so personal like it is directed towards them? Before everyone said Ortiz was going to get slaughtered but now more and more Mayweather talks the more people say and want to see him get KO'd. Guess Floyd is doing his job promoting the fight.

Some take his words so serious that they actually believed he wasn't fighting Ortiz before it was ever announced.

I started a thread about the fight before it was ever announced yet it was deleted as "they" told me the fight wasn't going to happen.

Point is, they took his words so serious that some where saying Floyd would never fight Ortiz, a young southpaw with power etc etc etc... yet now he cherry picked him.

I miss the old Mayweather threads where people even said then he was a coward, ducking so and so yet people had logic, reasoning with points to back there claims. Now the site has been infested with the newbie Pac fans who jumped on the "he will beat Floyd" boat. Its sad yet its the same exact shyt, just a different restroom.

The problem with Floyd is his inconsistencies with his plans, one example is his press statement during a promotional tour the he says and I quote, "Pacquiao your next." Boxing fans of both Pacquiao and Mayweather were ecstatic about the call out.

Consequently, a couple of days he contradicted his statement as well as berating a sport journalist saying, "Please don't put any words in my mouth and I didn't say I'll fight Pacquiao next." That’s one of Mayweather traits that pushing fans not to believe in him.

But I totally agree with you that Mayweather is doing a good job of promoting the fight. But he needs to be very careful and consistent with his statements so fans will believe him.

fighters say dumb **** all the time about each other, especially before they fight, it happens all the time in boxing, most the time they dont even mean that ****, they just tryin to get under the others skin, i dont see why this is making such news.
