I absolutely believe that Vitali could compete with the best heavyweights of any era. He was very competitive against the Last great heavyweight before himself. Hell if his eye didn't fall apart, he may have even stopped Lewis, on 10 days notice.

But Lewis was out of shape. He was heavier than usual and not verry motivated before the fight. He underestimated Vitali pretty much.

That's an excuse that should be tossed out of the window, Vitali took that fight on 10 days notice. I'm not beefing, I just believe Vitali could compete & win in any era. Not win them all, but win a fairly decent amount is all.

Vitali faced the worst Lewis ever and got a pizza face so how could he have competed against the best of the heavyweights.The guy's got no speed,no movement,cant move his head.Have you ever watched how the other heavyweights used to fight?
