In your opinion, which fighter-father relationship motivates a fighter to greater success?

    Good or bad?

But were they positive experiences? Floyd hated his pops for the longest time and Shane had issues with his dad. Oscar said his dad pushed him so hard he started to hate the sport and Pac, dad wasn't even around. All Im saying is adversity drives success.

Donaire, Mayweather, DLH, Roy just to name a few.

All driven by the desire to prove something to their dads.

What about those who didn't know or had no relationship at all with their fathers?

            Did Tyson know his dad?

            SRL?

            SRR?

Does anyone even know the name or seen a pic of the man who fathered the great Ali?

Texasboi beat me to it, but...

The borderline abusive father seems to work, but it all depends on the mentality of the kid... Mayweather Sr., RJ Sr., Donaire Sr., De La Hoya...

All of them continuously pressed their kids to train feverishly causing their kids to hone their talents, develop the skill, and the non-stop dedication to reach the level where they are at.
