I noticed the "infamous" Nevada Judge Duane Ford got one the judging assignments for Klitschko-Adamek.
Duane Ford was the only judge who had Juan Diaz leading Juan Manuel Marquez 77-75 when that fight was stopped. He was the only judge who scored in favor of Rocky Juarez over Marco Antonio Barrera 115-114. He scored in favor of Holyfield over Ruiz in their first fight – and the judging was so bad an immediate rematch was ordered. He only had Moorer up by one round 86-85 against Foreman before George scored the knockout (despite the fact that Moorer appeared to be working on a near shutout). Ford only had Larry Holmes up two points against Gerry Cooney. If Cooney hadn’t been deducted two points for low blows (and remember Cooney got floored in the second round), Ford would've had the fight even going into the 13th round.
The guy is a real wild card. They don't seem to give him a lot of big assignments anymore. I'm surprised he got this.
If the fight goes 12 rounds, and 40,000 Poles are cheering for Adamek. there's a very real chance (even if the fight isn't "THAT" close) that Tomasz gets the nod from Ford.
I don't know anything about the other two judges, but once Ford focuses on a boxer, he tends to favor him.
Any judge who had Holmes-Cooney EVEN after 12 rounds, or the Moorer-Foreman fight virtually even after nine rounds, is a wildcard. The only thing Cooney and Foreman had in common those two nights were they were the clear crowd favorites.
If this fight goes the distance, I wouldn't suprised if -- at the minimum -- it's a split decision.
