I agree. I think Angulo beats Kirkland going away. If I'm Kirkland, I don't get near this fight at this point in my career.

Surprised Vanes isn't accepting this fight. But then again, it is a high risk fight for no belt and it will be in Mexico. I remain unimpressed with Vanes. He seems very beatable, but, after the Cintron fight, so does Angulo.

A year ago this was the dreamfight...still is a good fight but now its pretty obvious Angulo wins.

Lara would box circles around ALL OF THEM ANYWAY...ESPECIALLY ANGULO!

So I understand why his camp turned that down, Angulo is trying to work his way back

but Vanes, Angulo, they should be HEAVILY CRITICIZED for this BULL****, they are basically CHERRY PICKING, but at least Kirkland would still be a tough opponent, Vanes will likely go on to fight another Bum so he can hold on to that BULL**** Title...Lara been calling that B!TCH out for about 2 years now, he clearly don't want to FIGHT THE BEST, he want WINNABLE MATCHES!

I have no idea who his promoter is and as far as I know he doesn't have a fight coming up.

Well, Angulo isn't fighting in the US anymore so he's not bringing too much money to the table (especially considering he'll not be headlining any pay per views).

Angulo had no right to that kind of money from Martinez's camp. HBO was paying the purse; it wasn't coming from the gate. Angulo was panned by every boxing writer out there about how ridiculous his demand was and how it looked like a blatant attempt to avoid fighting martinez. The oldest trick in the book for avoiding fighting a fighter is to price yourself out of the fight. That is exactly what Angulo did there. This "he deserved" the money argument is specious.

I think Angulo's team definitely didn't want the lara fight due to Lara's style..Kirkland is a more aggressive fighter and has style better suited to make for an exciting fight.

After the Williams peformance nobody wants to fight Lara. But Lara should rematch Molina.

Angulo will go with Kirkland cause it is high money and low risk

Answer that question all u angulo nuthuggers... Surely Angulo would make even more money vs Lara since Lara is the 2nd option for this fight... Ya heart of a lip my ass.... Really I want to know why Angulo does t want the fight vs Lara.... At least vanes can make the excuses of 1) not enough money, 2) no Freddie roach, 3) it's in Mexico....
You should know bro, same reason why Vanes wont fight Angulo. Preparation issue.

Lara would be THE most skilled fighter he has faced. Angulo is coming off a sick layoff and only 1 round in against a can. He doesn't need a good camp, he needs real rounds before he can take that fight. Its not fiction, its fact.

Lara just boxed the **** out of Williams, those rounds and that experience trumps anything Angulo or Vanes has done as a pro. That's also a fact.

They are both risky fights. Its not set in stone that any of them would beat each other. Its just that since Vanes would be more willing to trade, stylistically, that would be a better gamble for Angulo coming off a long layoff.
Lara would be a nightmare for Angulo right now. Vanes would be a problem, no doubt, but Lara would dominate.

Kirkland being given a golden opportunity vs Angulo.

He's a real live dog if it happens.
