For real though,
My city really just had warriors and not really any boxers that were all time greats..
Tony "The Tiger" Lopez....This guy was like a hero in Sacramento, he sold out fights all the time at the Arco Arena...
Bobby Chacon....He was a crazy warrior with hella heart!
Last but not least!
Diego "Chico" Corrales, one of the biggest warriors of all time, and all these fighters have had a fight of the year in this careers...
Diego is the best of the 3 IMO...
That is the history..
No great boxers really ever came out of the Bay Area..
Well now...
Vicente Escobedo! This guy is ****in amazing! He will be better than Chico!....
Also, Andre Ward....Name says it all!
In my gym right now, we have 2 of the biggest amateur prospects in the country!
One is a light heavyweight, ranked #1 in the country....He's ****in amazing!
Also the #2 lightweight in the country, he would've been #1 if he wasn't robbed in his last fight..
Well October 30th, at San Francisco.....USA vs Mexico! This tournament has never happened since the 70's !
It's only for the top fighters in the country and the 2 fighters from my gym are fighting...
Most likely they will be in Beijing in 2008...

It's amateur boxing..
BEST USA fighters against BEST Mexican fighters..
No idea, USA will probably win some and Mexico will probably win some, hopefully we win more though....Mexico has WAY to many good fighters right now...LOL!

Like who? Mexico only produces elite athletes in the low weight classes. USA has top-flight athletes from 106 (?) to 200 +
