Frankie Gomez Having Wars & Going To Majority Decisions Already, Ain't Good

He often gets touted as one of the future stars.

But in his only 10th fights he's already having back & forth wars getting dropped and going to Majority Decisions. That aint good.

Whats the deal with this? I've heard rumours he lazy in training but nothing serious.

At this moment from what I've seen I don't see a future superstar.

Well he was fighting another prospect who really wanted to win.But his
style is a bit akward and fights all wild and shlt.

i was at the fight, he didn't get dropped, he dropped his opponent. one of the judges gave the fight a draw, which i'm sure he was either from chicago favoring granados or being generous cause granados did have his moments. but yes, he looked real sloppy at times. not a good look, i hope those rumors of him being lazy aren't true, dude has potential to be something in the pros. deff looking forward to his next fight to see how he looks, hopefully it's not against a bum

haha, just when i clicked back on the nsb front page, i see this article. gomez scheduled to fight a bum on the star power undercard. staying active is good though

The Los Angeles portion of the Sept. 17 Star Power undercard is beginning to take shape, as junior welterweight Frankie “Pitbull” Gomez makes a swift return to the ring in an eight-rounder against John Figueroa, according to sources within Golden Boy.

The guy he was fighting was also undefeated!..lmao!..

I mean how many fighters out here are fighting undefeated prospects in their 10th fight?...not many...

Granados came to win in his hometown he wasn't gonna fold for Gomez, and Gomez came with a little more hunger, that's why he won, if Granados would've stuck to a more controlled game plan he could've taken it, but he wasn't there to lose like most opponents are for prospects..

Frankie Gomez will dominate the next losing-record opponnet like John Figueroa who's 7-10...watch how he makes easy work outta that boy..no shame in going to war and MD'ing against another undefeated prospect at all

Frankie Gomez reminds me of Shane Mosley.

i remember seeing a thread where someone listed him as undefeated and the poster who provided the link said that that website is more "reliable". idk, weird stuff

I dont think he is just that good. I have seen most of pro fights and he is just a brawler. He doesnt go in there with a game plan or a jab and looks to ko guys. He will have a fun career but not very succesfull benavidez is way better.
