C'mon bro, you know HBO and the WBC are ****ing Martinez because they want to turn Chavez into a star moneymaker. HBO turned down Zbik saying he wasn't a draw, and then they go and accept him as an opponent for Chavez to fight for Martinez's title?

He got ****ed, HBO will air Martinez because he's become a fan favorite, but you know they're still bitter as **** he destroyed their favorite guy in Paul Williams.

He'll probably have to fight Rubio anyway after Chavez vacates the belt.

The guy is wasting his time. He should have never even taken that shitty Diamond Belt they offered him in the Dzinziruk fight. He should have fought Zbik somewhere else besides HBO and fought Geale or another top Middleweight this time around. Sadly, as talented as this Martinez guy seems to be, I doubt he'll ever amount to anything more than he already has. If he wanted to be the best around, p4p wise, he would have been lining up guys like Pirog, Golovkin, Quillin, Sturm, and Rubio. Not guys like Barker and Hypejob Chavez.

I agree but not about the smws. He can make 154 for the right fight and is the 160 pound champ and not a big one at that. I have no problem with him calling out anyone from 154-160.

He is a moron. Super Middleweight might only be a couple pounds different, but all the top SMWs always come around at the limit at weigh-ins, which result in huge fight night weights compared to Middleweights on fight night. Sergio has enough to handle at 154 and 160, it's just his team isn't pushing for the best and toughest challenges, which is a shame because he's pretty much at the end of his career.

it's just *******s hating on Martinez

sorry but being "Champion Emeritus" Martinez is the mandatory challenge, end of story. but the WBC will bend its back to defend it's twin BS champs
                      Chavez jr. and Canelo.
