I can't buy US PPV's, so I guess I'm not a fan of boxing or any fighter. Makes sense.
Do non-ppv buyers count as fans to you?

I think that casual fans actually do more for the Pacman than real fans do. Just like pullcounter said, watching Pacman fight, no matter who it is is worth 60 bucks. But fighters who fight every & anyone with no star power suffer greatly. Casual fans are keeping the Pacman hype train flying along at full speed. But other fighters deserving of a payday are left on the outside looking in while he sits heavy smashing old, or shot fighters. But like pull said watching Pacman beat whoever he wants is worth the cash.
And to the idiot that said he never bought an Ali ppv, that might be because there weren't ppv's back then. You could view a quality matchup on abc.Comment

To me its the same as people who always buy bootleg CD's/DVD's. They are fans, real fans who are dying to get the product but can't afford it. They don't "count" in terms of ppv buys but they count. We see all day everyday how much Filipinos love Pacquiao, we see how much they dislike Mayweather...but do they actually count as fans to the same statistics they so vehemently praise/disregard?
If Philippines really shuts down when Pac fights, that is pretty awesome...but do those 90 some million people contribute a single US PPV buy? They don't. All their bravado, everything they say on here, it counts for nothing in the numbers...
I love how Pacquiao fanatics have embraced the sport, but they add very little value to it.Comment
