Berto is an excessive clinching princess who rushes in with his head like a billy-goat. This princess is protected by Al Haymon with his no fan-base and ugly style of fighting that I will not call boxing. What Floyd and Manny do is boxing, what Berto does is ugly fighting that makes me want to vomit.

Berto is fast and explosive, but his boxing technique is sorely lacking. He can't fight on the inside, thus why he excessively holds. For a short compact fighter, surely in-fighting would be something you would want as a strength, but he has not developed this part of his game at all.
He is just an athletic reactive fighter, he can punch...I'l give him that but he has many weaknesses and they seem to be exposed when he steps up in level. For one his stamina is questionable, chin is questionable, defense is borderline poor.
I see the potential in him, because quite frankly he has incredible speed, and has skill, but he needs to spar properly, maybe needs to look at his team, and work on his weaknesses in training. Otherwise I fear when he steps up to elite level against better fighters he will only have a punchers chance, which was the scenario he found himself in against ortiz.Comment

Berto won, but the headbutt happened. Don't pretend it didn't. It's just not obvious from the video footage. I rewatched it many times and couldn't see it. It happened really fast and neither cameras nor REFs caught it. But the slowmotion GIFs definitely show it.
Zavec wasn't complaining afterwards, because he knows it's pointless (he'd complained about a fight result before and nothing happened), and he'd just get on the bad side of Dibella ruining his chances of fighting in the US again (not that he has much to begin with). Outside of DB I don't see anybody else picking Zavec up for another fight (Collazo/Quintana maybe).
It's a W for Berto, but not a good one, and a rematch would be good. Because I don't think Berto has really made any noise with this win in the highest boxing circles. Not because he won against an unknown, but because he didn't look really good either. He won the first 3 rounds, but after that he gassed, his defense went from bad to horrendous, taking a bunch of clean shots and losing round 4 and 5 if it weren't for the clash. It's amusing how Tony Morgan said, their plan was to rush Zavec full power and try to knock him out in 2 rounds, and if that didn't work then try to outbox him in the following rounds. And interestingly Zavec obviously outboxed him when they tried boxing. Funny stuff.Comment

How ****** must you be, to deny that Berto has headbutted Zaveck? It has been proven that this is what has opened Zaveck's hematoma, so shut the hell up, if you know shizz about boxing.
There are .gif and even normal pictures, proving that Berto has clashed in Zaveck's right cheek just bellow the eye. From that moment on, Zaveck was done.
Nobody is saying that it was intentional, but still. This fight has ended unfairly - for Zaveck and for us, spectators. We could see a great and interesting fight, if that would of not happened.Comment
