On Monday, a specifically designated presser was held at the VGTRK media centre in Moscow, Russia. Local reporters, some fans and team members greeted the newly crowned WBA (“regular”) champion of the world, Alexander Povetkin (22-0, 15 KOs), who celebrated his homecoming by addressing some words to attendance alongside his influential manager Vladimir Hryunov, cruiserweight star Denis Lebedev and Igor Mazurov from the Professional Boxing Federation of Russia.

I'd imagine James would get paid quite a bit to come to Russia. The chance at a trinket would really motivate him to actually win and I think it would be an interesting scrap. James has never been knocked out and talks alot of trash so the buildup between him and Teddy Atlas would be very entertaining for us American fans.

I could see Povetkin being managed to fight a few shot American heavyweights(Toney, Rahman) to build him a bigger fanbase and then letting him go against Klitschko or Haye.

    I like Povetkin in a 12rd UD.
