I'm not sure if Peter will end up as a great heavyweight champion but if he can keep his head and desire strong (and many can't after the loss of their perceived invulnerability) even if his skills don't develope far he will at the least be a strong draw and a benchmark fighter. His beard and strength alone make him a tough enough test for most of todays heavyweights. If he does drill some skills into his repertoire then he may well be a champion in the next few years.
But he will be a draw for quite some time regardless and I can't wait for his next fight.Comment

Peter is going to be a force to reckon with in the future...I think he showed alot of things in his fight with Wlad mainly he is here to stay.....Better gameplans and tying up some looose ends and he is going to be one badass HW for years to come.I would be willing to bet alot that if he ever fights Wlad again he KOs Wlad.....In maybe a year or so.Comment

Originally posted by The_GreatestYeah wlad outboxed him YET he couldnt knock him out? Peter took his best shots yet they werent effecting him, he took his best punches and he had the chin.
I believe he would if they fought again.
wlad and emmanuel have surely looked at film of the fight and saw countless oppruntunitys that he failed to capitalize on. Sam Peter will look and say i have to cut down on my mistakes. but the bottom line is that if presented with half as many opprutinities the next time wlad will still capitalize twice as often in a return match. peter can take a punch so id saya TKO over KO, he may have too much heart to go down.Comment

Peter to return Dec. 15!

By Karl Freitag
On December 15 at the Seminole Hard Rock LIVE Arena in Hollywood, Florida, exciting heavyweight contender Samuel Peter (24-1, 21 KOs) will return to the ring for the first time since suffering his first career loss against Wladimir Klitschko, a bout where he floored the former champion three times. Peter will face an opponent to be named. The Warrior's Boxing Promotions show will also feature an enticing battle of top ten heavyweights with unbeaten Sultan Ibragimov (18-0, 15 KOs) vs Lance Whitaker (31-3-1, 26 KOs). Also on tap is unbeaten jr welterweight Juan Urango (16-0-1, 13 KOs), who will take on either Cesar Bazan or Goyo Vargas.
still cant believe peter was favored against klit.and that it took wklit 12 rounds to win. what does that say about these clowns.Comment
