what?/ where did that come from? and what does it have to do with anything?? I dont hate him, I just think what he did in the first fight is the only reason he won, and I keep reading how all these people just KNOW what he did and did not intend, and what he did and did not do in training, etc. when nobody knows a thing. Just cause I dont buy 3 lb's costing him the fight doesnt mean I hate him. I'm merely being realistic.
Do you know how much that last 3 pounds takes out of you?
Yes or no?
i been a diego fan long before castillo, i respect them both very much. bot none of tha weight ****, corrales got knocked out bad... simple as that
in a rematch castillo 8 round ko
corrales is gona come in with a new game plan, but castillo is just gona rush him, finish him off late. corrales boxing skills arent good nuff to beat castillo, simple as that.

I know how I feel when I've lost too much wt. in a short span, but I dont box so I cant apply that knowledge towards understanding the impact 3 lb's makes...when I say lost weight in a short span, I'm referring to atleast 6 or 7 lbs.
I dont know why you'd even ask a question like that because the fact of the matter is diego gained all that wt. and more back before getting into the ring. Look, there are plenty of reasons to not buy the 3 lb. theory and hatred has nothing to do with any of them. IF he had lost atleast 6,7 or even 8 lb's, THEN I'd make that allowance. IF he hadnt damn near lost the first fight and only won by cheating to gain extra recovery time, THEN I'd say it carried some wt (pardon the pun) IF he hadnt come into the ring weighing more than castillo...well, you get the idea.
I mean COME ON, youre talking about 3- THREE I mean damn, 3 lbs! It's extremely hard to even take that argument serious and makes me wonder if the difference had been say....2 lbs, would you post the same argument? (actually, I'd really like to know that) And if so, how about 1 lb? I'm not being a smartass...I'm being dead serious....where do you draw the line? If you warrant 3 lbs, then you just about have to do the same with 2 or 1...and just like 3, thats rediculous.

EXACTLY!! When your chin isnt the iron best in the business, it's vital that you be a very good boxer, and diego has never been that. I've read alot of bitterness, alot of denials and a heap of excuses, but I've NEVER, EVER read one corrales fan claim that he was a great boxer. He's a power punching slugger and has just recently started to stick and move A LITTLE BIT..nothing to write home about though. He got caught with the same power that put him down (and out) in the first fight..thats all there is to it.
Muscle mass had a lot to do with the 2nd fight. Castillo never hit that hard in their first fight and suddenly, Chico is getting swatted around? Castillo made no intention of making that weight. He's been at that weight for many years. No excuse other than to come in with more artillery.
That fight wasnt lost on strength, weight, conditioning, or speed.
Castillo was technically superior to Corrales, that was just that, he gave chico the distance and chico missed and Castillo popped him repeatedly till he paid the ultimate price.
At a distance it was castillo popping the jab in corrales face, throwing lead rights after a wild corrales miss. Castillo's plan was simply technically superior.
Corrales had said numerous times it isnt hard for him to make weight, goosen and shaw can say whatever they want but Corrales already said he doesnt have a problem.
And it wasnt 3 lbs it was 2 lbs.
I think its easy to say Castillo had the advantage, but what about the other things people dont consider?
1) Castillo is getting old by Boxing standards at 31
2) Castillo has been in tougher fights over a longer period than chico
3) Castillo has gotten robbed by the judges, and an imcompetent ref gave a dead fighter life. Its a wonder how the man keeps on giving so much with the kind of treatement hes gotten.
Amazing! whats the argument about anyway...2 lousy lbs?? It's got to be a joke, right??
Okay, in case that is really a legit argument, I'll go ahead and say NO, I dont believe that 2 lb's made any difference whatsoever! Unbelievable
You guys have to remember that corrales recently moved up to 135 he's only had 2 or 3 fights in this division so in other words hes not killing himself as much as castillo.
