    3 things: Gary Russel

the kid has amazing talent, and is an offensive machine, amazing handspeed, and skills..but there is 3 things i worry about

    1. his size... he is a pretty small featherweight, hopefully that doesn't give him a disadvantage

    2. lack of power... he might have blinding speed, but having lack of power will not do good for him when he steps up in competition

    3. lack of defense, without a good defense he is a KO waiting to happen

the kid needs to work on 2-3....... and he will be a star..

will the size disadvantage him, idk we hae to see

what fighter in the sport of boxing doesn't need to work on his defense you are going to get hit it will happen how much is the question he got clipped by a slow wide swinging fighter a few times but when you fight with offensive vigor that will occur
he needs experience more than anything right now

he's not small, he's short. he looks pretty thick and muscular... he's like a smaller version of berto (physically).

        2. lack of power... he might have blinding speed, but having lack of power will not do good for him when he steps up in competition
at some point, you need to be able to stop your opponents in their tracks... lack of this means russel jr will be in some tough fights, probably and possibly will lose to certain styles

        3. lack of defense, without a good defense he is a KO waiting to happen
his defense is pretty good for a guy that comes forward

nah, he needs to work on finishing his opponents... probably can't fix the power... his defense is fine.

I think him and gamboa are about the same size, gamboa has even shorter arms I think

his hand problem are a bigger issue than any of those things right now. the guy hasn't even been scheduled for more than 8 rounds yet...how are his hands gonna hold up in a tough long fight.

russell's offense & defense is on point. handspeed amazing. combinations perfect... he just needs experience.

i just worry about how he handles the likes of salido & gamboa.

hopefully he doesnt end up another hot prospect that fails once competition gets raised.

He's definitely not feather-fisted, his size won't ever be THAT much of a disadvantage at FW, his defense is better than you think.

Solid, solid prospect and could end up doing some big things. Just can't see him moving up much in weight.

his hand is fine but i dont beleive he has the confidence to throw it more often and with force..he feels the risk is to high and dont wanna injure it agian but he'l improve as time goes.
