I thought Berto would have learned something from his loss to Ortiz and all the other fights where he let himself get nailed senselessly. I was very disappointed in his lack of defense and the way he just fell in on the inside clinches and kept his head in front of his body and in the center. The guy was a sucka for uppercuts and and right hands, again. Not very impressive outside of the pure entertainment value of watching someone simply go do or die. If Zaveck had little more pop Berto would have been on the canvas again.
Does Andre Berto needs a new trainer?

Yeah Berto would be dangerous if he just boxes and uses his jab, like he did in the Urango fight. He didn't **** with Urango for one second (which was smart) and used constant lateral movement. I thought he was improving after i seen that, but then i started to see him doing the same mistakes again. He also doesn't know how to clinch at all, which is shocking considering he started boxing as a kid. He just grabs his opponents elbows and is exposed to inside shots, which Collazo and Zaveck were able to take advantage of repeatedly. If he keeps fighting the way he is, he'll never crack the top 10 p4p, which is disappointing when you look at all the talent he has. I think Floyd Sr would be a perfect trainer. Hes a boxer first, puncher second kind of trainer. Compare the Chad Dawson that fought Harding to the one that fought Adamek and the difference is dramatic. Sr knows what hes doing. -

He needs time off to work on fundamentals. Real talk he looked really sloppy he relies on his physical. Since conte is in the bay area he should hire ward's trainer as head coach. If he fixes his fundamentals it will help his stamina because it takes away that wreckless mindset. He looks like a silverback in the ring lolComment

he does.
he hasnt been improving at all for a very long time and he has plenty of flaws he needs to get rid of. watching some of his trainers other fighters they all have the same flaws which leads me to believe its on the coach.
like that elenge kid on fnf a while back. no defense, no inside game, sloppy fundamentals etc. just like berto, a beast physicly like berto but very flawed skill wise.
berto has so much talent, he could do great things in boxing but he needs a teacher and not a fitness coach in his corner.
u gt buddy mcgirt in the miami area, floyd sr like mentioned would be a good choice as well, someone mentione virgil hunter too which would be a great choice as well. any well established trainer out there would be better than his current situation tbh, they dont just train him poorly they are a mess in teh corner. terrible team, its a wonder berto got as far as he did.Comment
