didn't really answer any questions, but got more questions... if zaveck didn't get cut, he would've given berto all he could've handled in the 2nd half of the fight.

I think Berto even though it was clear he was winded, could have caught his second wind, even though berto was getting hit, I saw zaveck the one who would have ended up being stopped. he was getting hi too much by hard punches. zavecks punches were short arm punches most of the time.

Took little in return? Zaveck was beating the crap out of him every time they got close.

He didn't earn a stoppage, and was gassing a little, so it can't be called a good win. It was a close half fight that ended on a cut a headbutt caused.

In the 4th and 5th, yes.

In the first 3, not so much.

Disagree. Whenever there was infighting in the first three rounds, Zaveck got the better of it. Zaveck realized it and made that adjustment in the 4th and 5th.

I think Zaveck's ability (in the 4th and 5th) to take advantage of his superior infighting was more a case of Berto getting a bit winded than Zaveck making any particular adjustment. In the 4th when Berto slowed, Zaveck's advantage was just that much more pronounced because Berto was right there to be hit. Same with the 5th more or less except Berto made it a closer round (adjustment on his part?) and busted Zaveck up pretty bad with the cuts/swelling. So the way I see it, it was a good win for Berto because he fought his fight for the first three rounds, looked pretty good doing it, and then overcame the advances of Zaveck to win the thing.

Just watched it again in HD.

Definitely punches that busted up and opened up Zaveck's face.

Berto really put a whoopin on him in the last half of the 5th.

                Good stoppage.

Zaveck knows how badly he is injured in the corner, he screams out in frustration over it, and at one point when they have an endswell over his right eye, a panicked look comes over his left eye that tells me he could not see out of that one either.

Really good fight, good showing by BOTH fighters.
