Props to Berto, for bouncing back well and putting on a good show

Great bodywork, much better than in the past

    Kept pressing the action

    Some good combos at times

Just need to work on that defence

Berto gets unnecessary hate, have no clue why, but I guess that's the nature of boxing fans these days. Always failing to give props when due.

p.s. Jan Zaveck should get credit for travelling to the US and putting his belt on the line. Showed heart, but had a feeling he would have got stopped down the line if the fight was allowed to continue, as those body shots Berto were landing were grueling.

I agree in part. I thought Berto was throwing great combos and some wicked body shots, but that could have been because as he had mentioned, this was the first conventional fighter he had fought in some time.

Zavec was doing excellent work himself, and making for a great fight down the stretch. I can't say for sure who would have won had the fight gone the distance, but it would have been a tough road for both fighters.

I give respect to Zavec for putting his title on the line, and to Berto for giving Zavec a rematch. At least he's not going back to fighting journeyman who are no real threat.

Still don't see him beating Ortiz though.

Most of his shots were blocked. Zaveck was winning and he got butted.

I'll give Berto props if he takes the rematch.

Get real, Berto by round 4 had his mouth wide open, hands down and kept hugging. When he went back to corner he walked real slow and was gasping for air. Zavec had his mouth closed and had energy. Berto headbutted him, punches dont create swelling like that in 30 seconds, the punch that caused a cut was on his eyebrow and corner managed it. Berto intentionally or not headbutted him and HBO failed to ignore it.

Plus HBO was shady, they gave Zavec first round then said berto won all 3 but end of 4th had it 39-37 Zavec, wtf?

and Berto didnt land anything except "Flashy Flash" punches that didnt hurt Jan, while berto was eating clean shots all night , heres some PROOF:
