Was Andre Berto Starting To Tire/Gas?

While he was in control, I did get the impression he was gassing and without the cuts that fight MAY have turned alot more competitive.

    Thoughts?

I think so, and I also don't think he was in control anymore. Zaveck was coming on stronger (I'm sure he was banking on Berto tiring, and sure as hell he did). Berto's power and/or Zaveck's face not taking good punishment bailed him out.

I think so. Its no given that Jan would have held up either though as berto was working the body well. Shame it stopped early

yeah, and zaveck was starting to land cleaner shots as well. i would love to see a rematch tbh, like natas said about berto's body punching, it would have been awesome to see who would stick it out longer and try to really push for that win more. feel bad for zaveck losing his belt like that, really hope he gets more top WW fights or a possible rematch before his career is over.

Berto attacks his opponents bodys early in the fight because he does have stamina problems himself. It's smart, and some fighters admit to it. That one fighter whats his name Vernon Paris admitted to this in one fight. He was like I was getting tired in the fight so I attacked his body so he felt tired too. Very intelligent tactical move by Berto.

Maybe a little but Zavec was also starting to come on after the first three rounds which he claimed was his strategy in the post fight interview he was landing more frequently as the fight progressed but ..............
