Comments Thread For: Quick Results: Humberto Soto Stops Jose Alfaro In Two

By Jake Donovan - Former two-division titlist Humberto “Zorrita” Soto scored a second round stoppage of fringe contender Jose Alfaro in his hometown of Los Mochis, Mexico on Saturday evening.

No knockdowns were scored but Soto overcame a cut on his right eye from a headbutt to open up separate cuts under the left eye and over the right eye of Alfaro to force the stoppage at 1:00 of the second round.

Soto-Morales would be fun. But Sulaiman would probably get the s**t sued out of him by Bradley for letting that happen so I doubt it happens. If Soto wants that fourth title, he better work for it. None of that corrupt bulls**t. He needs to fight somebody like Lamont Peterson or Mike Alvarado.

Lol. What a joke of a fight and result!!! Fight should've been stopped after the headbut, as Alfaro's eye was clearly blinded by the gushing cut on his right eyelid. Lol, it's so amazing what lengths we go to to get a win in boxing. This fight is exactly the same as the Barrera vs Khan fight, where the fight should've been stopped because of a cut caused by a headbut; however, was instead allowed to continue even though one of the fighters was severely disadvantaged by the cut and blood! ...Another dubious win for Soto, I might add!

Soto left the 135 division because he didn't want none of Rios.

Agreed. He ducked both Peterson and Rios while they were his mandatories to fight cab drivers and rematch guys he already beat. And the sad part is, he'll probably get a corrupt ass title shot eventually.

I REALLY hope the first Mexican to win a title in four division actually EARNS the titles...seriously.
